Here you will find a list of the most frequently asked questions.
How long does a photo shoot session last?
The actual session itself usually lasts about 1-2hrs.
Wedding Collections range from 8-10hrs.
How do we book you?
Simply let me know, you would like to book a photo shoot session, what dates work best for you and what type of session you are looking for through my contact page or email me firstname.lastname@example.org . For wedding photography please send me your date, venue location and which wedding package best fits your needs and I will send you the wedding contract with more information.
When will I receive my photos?
Minimum 4weeks after your session (weddings usually 8-12 weeks depending on the time of year), I will have your custom CD/DVD completed. Pictures will be professionally edited, color corrected(if needed), some offered in black & white and all in high resolution. I will usually post a sneak peek photo of the session on my website and/or Facebook page within a few days of your session.
Are there any additional charges for me to receive my photos?
I charge a one-time flat rate for your pictures which are taken at the location of YOUR choice. No added sitting fees, special effect fees or huge prices for portraits. The price quoted does include the photo shoot, your personalized CD/DVD containing all of your images with permission for you to share and print the photos from anywhere and keep forever.
Where will the photos be taken? Do you have a studio?
The location of the photo session is up to you, we have a home-based studio. Once your photo shoot date is booked we will discuss what type of feel you are looking for in your photographs, we can then work together to come up with the perfect location. Newborn photo sessions are almost always held within the comfort of your own home.
Do you travel outside Cape Town for weddings?
Yes of course we will travel to virtually any part. All out of town commissions will attract extra costs for travel, accommodation and car hire when needed.
Do you provide video services as well?
No I’m afraid not. We like to concentrate on what we do best.
All images remains the property of the Photographer, and no un-authorized modification (removal of signature) to the photos are allowed for social media distribution.
Finally … why is wedding photography so expensive?
No its not. A lot of people tend to see wedding photography as just the 10 odd hours the photographer shoots on the day. But by our calculations, we spend over 40 hours on each wedding. Right from the first contact, the subsequent meetings, emails and phone calls, the hours start piling up. The engagement shoot will probably take 2-3 hours, editing its images another 4 hours The wedding day itself throws out over a thousand images which could take anywhere between 12-16 hours to edit, images need to be backed up, uploaded, albums designed, modified, all the while continuing communications with you, the printers and the binders.
I love doing photography for any occasion. If you have an occasion in mind you do not see listed, please don’t hesitate to contact me. Or if you have any questions about anything you see, please let me know.
I would love to hear from you.
